George and Lydia Troup – husband and wife team – a photographer with a photographer assistant and an art album designer, together form a perfect wedding photography team. Their approach to wedding photography is simple and straightforward, always creative and fun. George and Lydia’s goal in photographing a wedding is to create an intensely personal perspective that becomes your lasting record of the day you join with your partner. Generally described as wedding photojournalism, their ability to tell a story, put you at your ease and execute creative photographs in technically challenging environments sets them apart with their definitive artistic style. Who could better build the romantic story of your wedding than a married couple deeply in love themselves? They both say: “Every image needs to say something that lasts.”

George’s got his first camera when he was 7 years old from his grandfather, well known European photographer. His photojournalistic carrier started in 1970 shooting music concerts and celebrity shows, and he added weddings in 1977. Lydia proves her creativity and artistic skills in beautifully designed flush mount leather albums with spectacular two page montages, telling the whole wedding story.

When you look at the photo album and see the 5, 10, or even 15 shots that were taken of this sequence, you see how they tell a story; the story of how much you are in love, the emotional look on Mom's face (something you never saw!)...and you were unaware that any of them had ever been taken! That look in his eyes when he sees you come down the aisle...The first looks you give each other, at the front of the altar, not able to say anything...Mom's tears of joy...The feel of the ring as it was slipped onto your finger...The hug you got from your college roommate...The look on Grandpa's face. Mom's eyes as you and Dad dance...The face on verge of tears as your brother gives the toast...That look in her eyes as you take her in your arms and onto the dance floor.

The love between you and your husband to be generates the creative energy you put into dreaming and planning your wedding together. We hope to be your trusted partners in making a spectacular record of the emotions, actions and details that blend together into the mystery of your love and union.
